This 5th edition (June 11, 2020) considers how cities and local governments are preparing for concurrent risks, as COVID and climate related hazards like drought converge. Community driven solutions are being recognised as critical for informal settlements, as COVID threatens livelihoods and food security. Flexible supply chains are proving essential to the recovery as much as the response, with producers finding new ways to distribute and create multiple benefits for communities.

Produced by The University of Manchester, UK (Professor Duncan Shaw, Dr Jennifer Bealt, David Powell, and Professor Ruth Boaden) in partnership with the Global Resilient Cities Network (Sam Kernaghan)
