The Urban Ocean program has been working with the University of Georgia’s Circularity Informatics Lab (CIL) since the program began in 2019. By partnering with CIL, Urban Ocean has set a precedent in working with cities across Asia and Latin America to reshape the way cities think of waste management, their power to cut emissions, and the opportunities that lie ahead of moving away from single-use plastics and a linear consumption model. Circular economies offer a set of tools to reduce our global emissions, strengthen economic and social resilience and spur innovation that works with sustainable living in mind.
This webinar, featuring the University of Georgia’s esteemed founder of the Circularity Informatics Lab, Professor Jenna Jambeck, and Circularity Assessment Protocol (CAP) Director, Taylor Maddalene offers a glimpse of the important work being done by CIL in each of the Urban Ocean cities and beyond.
