About Daniel Sullivan

Daniel Sullivan serves as the Director of Resilience in the City of Cape Town. In this role, he is responsible for developing the City’s resilience approach, which includes anticipatory planning, capacity building, adaptation, risk management, and business continuity. Over the past decade, he has held various important positions in the City, including his most recent role as the manager of the Strategic Policy Branch.

Tanya Filer, PhD, developed the Digital State project at the University of Cambridge, and is Founder and CEO of StateUp. StateUp bridges the gap between the worlds of governance and technology, through the highest quality research, data, and learning products and services to address major policy areas, from climate change to disinformation. Tanya has worked widely with public sector and international organisations, technology companies and research institutes across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East on shaping and delivering their digital governance, urban resilience, and technology policy agendas.

Lynette Lim is the Global Director, Communications & Knowledge at the Resilient Cities Network. In her role, she is responsible for the development R-Cities’ global communications and knowledge strategies, and oversees the implementation with a team spread across our four regional offices in Singapore, the Netherlands, Mexico City and New York City. Through the communications and knowledge portfolios, Lynette ensures that network members have opportunities to share their successes and learn from one another, and advocates for the role cities play in tackling some of the greatest challenges of our times.
