New York Climate Week
22-29 September, 2024
New York City
Championing action for climate, health and resilience finance
This year, we’re participating in New York Climate Week to amplify city-led solutions for climate and health and to advocate for increased finance for cities’ resilience efforts.
From Amman to Paris, our member cities are working to address public health impacts of climate change like extreme heat through policies ranging from raising awareness to greening their cities to reverse the urban heat island effect. Cities are taking effective measures to address the multiple risks they face with broad benefits. Now it’s time for national and regional governments, civil society, international organizations and the private sector to step up their support and financing for resilience action.
