With a shared ambition to further stimulate collaboration between cities, businesses and governments, a new partnership for resilient energy transition has been established between Shell City Solutions and the World Economic Forum.

In 2022, Shell City Solutions and the World Economic Forum will launch a new program which builds upon this vision and will deliver a series of City Sprints workshops in Europe and North America in the coming years. The workshops will use the Forum’s established methodology and its Toolbox of Solutions, with the aim to strengthen collaboration between cities, businesses and governments.

Launched in 2021, and initially co-designed with the Resilient Cities Network, the Resilient Energy and Mobility Transition Program was created to support participating cities to accelerate energy transition towards decarbonization and urban resilience. By working together with front-running cities and solution providers, the Program aims to enable system level change that is crucial for building sustainable cities of the future. The program will continue its path to generate solutions, foster innovative partnerships and create investment opportunities that drive net-zero outcomes for cities

The Resilient Cities Network was pleased to be a launching partner for the Program. The next phase of the partnership, led by Shell City Solutions and the World Economic Forum, will further progress the program and advance implementation.
