Across the globe, residents, small businesses and local organizations are finding new ways to tackle extreme heat, flooding and other climate challenges. While each community faces unique risks, it is more important than ever to share how they are adapting and what we can learn from their efforts.
Through the Resilience for Communities (R4C) program, Resilient Cities Network and its partners support this movement by helping cities and communities understand risks, co-create solutions and exchange knowledge to accelerate impact.

Last month, with R4C, we explored how co-created plans like Melaka’s Community Action Plans and Greater Manchester’s neighborhood initiatives place lived experience at the heart of resilience planning. Building on this, our ninth session of Cities on the Frontline 2025 will focus on the next step: moving from priorities to scalable projects using practical tools, shared knowledge and strong coalitions.
We will showcase resources developed through R4C to spread best practices and connect changemakers from large organizations to grassroots groups. The panel will also reflect on the role of convenings and knowledge exchanges in strengthening networks and collaboration.
Join us to hear how city leaders, local organizations and philanthropic partners are working together to empower residents, small businesses and young people to lead the change.
